Still another view of the River. - Maree's Photos

We headed to Alaska in 2004 to go on a long awaited cruise (for me) and hike (for Alan). A great holiday that combined some communing with nature in the mountains around Talkeetna and a 5 star cruise from Seward to Vancouver via the Inside Passage. Alaska is very different and well worth the visit.

Maree > This is me, sitting on a large tree trunk on the banks of the Susitna River. You reached this point after walking along the main street on through some trees, and here is a sandy beach and river. Nice to sit and rest.

Maree > The famous Nagley's Store - it is one of a kind. Has good ice cream too.

Maree > And across the road, the Fairview Inn, the home of Talkeetna's first bathtub apparently.
